Making mistakes is the right thing to do

This, presumably imaginary, exchange, was recently quoted by Stefan Stern, the management columnist in the Financial Times and is pretty interesting to note.

"Sir, What is the secret of your success?"

"Two words"

"And, Sir, what are they?"

"Right decisions."

"And how do you make right decisions?"

"One word."

"And, What is that?"

"Experience."

"And how do you get Experience?"

"Two words"

"And, Sir, what are they?"

"Wrong decisions."

This reminds me of a quote by Will Rogers:

"Good judgement comes from experience.
And experience generally comes from bad judgement".
